Are You Afraid of the Dark?

I was still exhausted Thursday morning, even after getting 2 quality nights of sleep! Breakfast was overnight oats and green tea.

In the mix:

  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • cinnamon
  • 1 sliced banana
  • topped with fig jam

Lunch was leftover roasted veggie pizza from TJs and some broccoli with white bean and basil hummus.

Plus an TJs brown rice bar for dessert.

I also had the last handful of pretzel slim crumbs that went unpictured.

Dinner was an egg sandwich with 2 fried eggs on wheat sourdough and some cheddar cheese. One side of the bread was spread with earth balance and I had strawbs for a little sweetness on the side.

After dinner, I headed out for our midweek hill training run. Since the days are getting shorter, we decided we needed to cancel it from here on out so it was our last week, but no one showed up except Becky and I! We did our 1 mile warm up then called it a night. It was just way too dark to run safely. How do you keep safe when running in the dark?
